- 7/9/04 Lane Labs Benefin Shark Cartilage inventory is ordered destroyed.
Federal Judge William Bassler ruled that Lane Labs-USA, Inc. immediately stop the distribution of Benefin® Shark Cartilage, MGN-3®, and SkinAnswer® because they are misbranded, unlawfully marketed products, making false and unsubstantiated claims. The judge ordered the remaining inventory destroyed under FDA supervision.

- 2/21/04 Shipping Rates
Since June, 2002, when the U.S. Postal Service dramatically increased their rates for shipping packages using Priority Mail service, Seagate opted for an alternative means of shipping direct ot our customers. We are currently using a combined UPS/U.S. Mail service. Unfortunately this method does take a couple of days longer than Priority Mail. However, it has allowed Seagate to maintain the $4.00/order charge for domestic shipments (except Alaska and Hawaii). Orders that exceed $150 and all commercial orders are shipped UPS Ground.

- 5/1/04 New Construction and Farm Expansion
A. Building Expansion - On January 1, 2003, Seagate began a major contruction project to expand their factory by 20,000 sq. ft. in Ensenada, Baja California. This project is necessary in order to accomodate a new rotary freeze-dryer and its vacuum equipment having a capacity of one ton of wet product. In addition, Seagate will install their new automatic powder grinder, which will be fully automated and allow 24-hour operation. New cold storages and freezers are also being installed to increase the storage capacity for the new organic products under development. Building expansion should be completed by late Spring 2004.
B. Farm Expansion - On Feb. 15, 2004, Seagate started a new project to grow organic tomatos. At the present time, 20,000 new tomato seedlings that were grown for 2 months in a greenhouse have now been transplanted onto the Seagate Farm.

- 5/1/04 New Seagate Homeopathic Remedies
In 2003, Seagate developed their first two homeopathic remedies which have proven very effective for throat and sinus relief - Olive Leaf Nasal Spray and Olive Leaf Throat Spray. In January, 2004 Seagate completed a rigorous FDA designed challenge test where concentrations of millions of colonies of bacteria (E Coli, Strep), fungi (Candida), and mold (Aspergillis) were injected into the Nasal Spray liquid. Although the test is designed to last 28 days, the laboratory reported that 99%+ of all the organisms died within 60 seconds.

- 2/1/04 Seagate Online Store Credit Card Processing
Credit Card Processing is now automated.
Since 2/1/04, Seagate's online store has been billing credit card orders in "real time". Once you complete your order and hit the send button, your credit card is billed and the sale is authorized. You must be careful to properly enter your billing address and the security cvv2 code or you will receive error messages. Seagate's online store is secure, and does not store your credit card information once the order has been processed. That is why you will be asked each time you wish to make a new order to re-enter your credit card information.
